Ted Bundy is the perfect example of what it means to be a serial killer. Bundy was a college graduate and an almost law school graduate. Aside from being a brilliant a young man, he was also extremely clever and charming. So charming that Bundy had two wives in his life time. In Bundy’s mind he equated killing with sexual pleasure. Over the course of Bundy's life he was a serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar and a necrophiliac. His killings were so brutal that no one would have ever guessed it could have been a man like him. He was so good at manipulating young woman it became an easy routine. Bundy killed his victims by strangling them so fiercely that their bodies would be contorted from the force he applied. The force he used on his victims was so severe he would snap their necks, and bite them so fiercely he pierces the skin removing chunks of flesh.Sometimes while raping his victims he would proceed to use one of his many methods to kill them. Even after victims were dead Bundy derived sexual pleasure from their lifeless bodies. Bundy had an exact image of who he wanted to kill, she was approximately 18-22 , and long brown hair. Bundy's first love break up sparked this enormous rage and hatred that led him to kill brutally mutilate young women’s bodies. He believed he was the best, and superior to everyone. He wanted everyone and anyone to be under his control. The fascination to knowing what flips the switch in that person’s mind turning thoughts into action is extremely captivating. how can someone kill with no regret, how do they live there everyday lives knowing that they ruined young women’s lives and families. Bundy was a handful of horrible things but was blessed with brilliance that led him to years of freely killing whomever he wanted and wherever he'd travel. He had a plan for every victim and played his role of "innocence" up until the day before he sat in the electrical chair. Bundy was intelligent and determined to control his future, persisting to represent himself in court during his own trial.Bundy truly believed he was innocent, in his trial he stood up and proudly stated "Its my position that my counsel, one, believe that I am guilty. Two, that they have told me they see no way of presenting effective defense, and in no uncertain terms they have told me that. And three , that they see no way of avoiding conviction. Your Honor,if that does not raise itself to the level of ineffectiveness of counsel,I don't know what does." Ted had no intention of pleading guilty what so ever, so right then and there Ted Bundy's Lawyer stood up in disbelief and left... Bundy was now his own representative. Bundy was consistently at odds with his own trial because of his controlling and brilliant words that left the court shocked and in this case gave Ted leverage over the jugde and everyone watching at home. Bundy had out smarted everyone his whole life and with his charm and good looks it was easier for him to build a following by anyone pulled in by his menacing stunts. With his obscure stunts and escapes to avoid being convicted Ted Bundy was found guilty and sentenced to death in both trials of killing 30 women, but the actual number of murders committed is unknown. Ted was on death row for 9 years before facing the electrical chair and his death. Gathered outside the Florida State prison and all the other places Ted Bundy killed the young and innocent women were hundreds of onlookers that gathered to wait for the exact moment a monster went down. There were additional celebrations around the country such as barbecues and themed cookouts where "Burn Bundy Burn" T-shirts were sold and along with many other things.Thousands of people came together to spread hatred for the same man that ruined many peoples lives. it was a day to remember.
